The Catawba site sits on the edge of camp property with the Little East Fork Trail leading into the Shining Rock Wilderness area nearby. Croatan and Sequoyah campsites are nearby as well. The site is equipped with 18 tents, each with a wooden floorboard and 2 cots with mattresses.
